Irwin County Hospital is located in Ocilla and Irwin County, Georgia, home of the Georgia Sweet Potato Festival. Though we are located in an area that is considered economically challenged, we offer state of the art diagnostic services and exceptional patient care. Despite our socioeconomic obstacles, in 2016, Georgia Trend magazine ranked Irwin County Hospital as one of the state’s top twenty-five small hospitals. The ranking was based on data produced by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (“CMS”), which provides public information on more than 40 quality-related indicators, including patient experience, outcomes of care, process of care, and efficiency and value to the services rendered.
Irwin County Hospital is a newly designated Rural Emergeny Hospital facility offering outpatient and emergent medical services to Irwin and the surrounding counties. Irwin County Hospital is a non-profit corporation governed by a seven-member Board of Directors,
